Located adjacent to Arundel Mills Mall, this project has become a symbol of smart growth, while providing a transition between the commercial development and adjacent single-family residential communities. The Stoney Run Village consists of four distinct communities, each of which contain a wide range of housing types. Each community offers extensive amenities, as well as several regional amenities. These include a clubhouse and swimming pool, walking and hiker-biker trails, tot lot and picnic areas, and several seating areas. The parking area and buildings were weaved into the site's existing topography, in order to retain steep slopes and a forested stream. Two adjacent public roads were rebuilt to expand and improve the safety of traffic for this area. Multiple developers on the project required additional coordination through the construction process. High-quality architecture, the protection of environmental features, and numerous amenities make this a distinctive community for the area. |
